The World Metal Alliance
"A global organization of heavy metal fans and musicians founded in 1992, to protect, promote and preserve heavy metal through unification of the metal subculture."
The World Metal Alliance has always been the combined voices, opinions and views of our members. Prior to going on the web in 2000, the exchange of information between members was conducted through our newsletter, "The Quarterly Report", which was published four times a year. Now it all happens in real time within the fully automated Forum section of our web site which is packed full of features your not likely to find elsewhere. Here you'll find thousands of heavy metal fans and heavy metal musicians networking and coming together in a spirit of unity and mutual respect that is rare on most online heavy metal communities. In addition to our discussion boards, our heavy metal Forum is enhanced with a real time shout box, a live RSS data feed of the ten most recent topics, sections for heavy metal band promotion, heavy metal album reviews, heavy metal polls and live heavy metal chat rooms.
The World Metal Alliance Forum has thousands of active members across the globe representing all metal genres from speed, thrash, doom, goth, death, and power, to black, progressive, industrial, black, and techno. Our board sets the standard by which all heavy metal boards are measured. Many heavy metal sites have unsuccessfully tried to imitate its extremely cool atmosphere and widespread popularity among the heavy metal subculture. One independent review of our boards put it this way, "World leaders have the UN, headbangers have the WMA". The difference is democratic rule, an emphasis on unity and mutual respect, and a Moderation team that will not tolerate flame wars, drama queens or soap operas. Basically, cool is the rule, the members are the controlling force, not one designated dictator. Here you can interact and network with other heavy metal fans throughout the world, participate in thousands of heavy metal, general and political topics or even post your own. |

DETAILS:
WMA Xmas Metal Volume I
"A face-ripping heavy metal Christmas album by the creators of the World Metal Alliance, featuring 18 tracks of professionally recorded holiday metal mayhem."
While this is not the first metal Christmas album ever produced, it is the first of it's kind. Unlike other metal Christmas albums this album is not only metal in musical style but also in lyrical content, viewpoint and message. WMA Xmas Metal - Volume I takes select ancient yuletide carols and gives them new meaning with a metal approach to the music as well as the message. Each tune has been "metalized" spanning several metal genres and styles without altering the melody of the original. Humorous lyrics have been created that parody the holiday with a scrooge-like mentality. And, in classic metal fashion, each song is paired with and proceeded by an original dark musical introduction using a corresponding selection from the Ancient Text to set the stage and clarify the underlying hypocrisy of many long standing Christmas traditions.
INCLUDES 6 INSTRUMENTAL METAL BONUS TRACKS: As an added bonus and to pay tribute to the original composers all six ancient carols parodied on this CD have been remixed and included as instrumental versions bearing their original titles and are included at the end of this release.
WMA member quotes about this album:
"Vol. I is a metal xmas album in a leather jacket and black WMA t-shirt... No violins, no fockin french horns, no little girls in nightgowns conducting on top of a piano... just undiluted metal, oozing WMA mystique." - Soldier666
"This CD fockin' ROCKS! You guys did a hell of a job." - ColdBreed
"This is the first X-mas album I've heard that has balls!" - Blizzard
"Opposite of White yet still Festive in a humorous way." - TSAC |
